Personal choice versus civic duty, yes? The erosion of feeling responsible for your society has increased.
Do you think it will swing back, Pigeon?

Re: Neolithic Beer
I have wondered the same thing, Pigeon. My sense is when coming across new plant matter, they would ingest tiny, tiny amounts and then increase them if incrementally if there was no obvious side affects. Everything could be seen as a potential resource in a climate that was harsh. (Thinking about Eu...

Re: GOP idiots and liars
Perhaps at no time in modern history has the opportunity to be educated, to know things, been so widely disseminated. Even a short 100 years ago, people would drop out of school at the grade school levels to go to work and university education was for the elite only. Prior to that, compulsory educat...

Re: Massive planet 10 times bigger than Jupiter discovered
Me too, Pigeon. I sold my car a few years back and get around by walking and biking. I walk just under six miles round trip to work and back during the week (winter) and then ride it in the other seasons. I'm trying to do my best to help. My kids also make choices that consider their impact. I would...

Neolithic Beer
So, I have been reading up on neolithic beer making practices. I don't drink at all but find the whole process really intriguing. The agriculture advent approx. 9000 years ago ushered in the neolithic age and booted out the mesolithic. Farmers slowly replaced hunter gathering groups as they emigrate...

I haven't watched the video. I tried but can't stomach it even the first 39 seconds. Something about, oh, maybe the conspiratorial tone of voice.

Re: GOP idiots and liars
Trump and his ilk exposed serious flaws in the democracy. They exploited those flaws to hide, justify and elude while they continued to wreak havoc. They are still doing it. From a historical perspective, this is not new nor is the slow decay of a culture/civilization. Things change, they always do....

Re: Massive planet 10 times bigger than Jupiter discovered
They have found what, over 3,000 or 4, 000 exoplanets now? Do you remember when they found the first one back in the early nineties? It made the front page of the news. It was exciting! It still is. I'm really pumped about the JWT and hoping it can shed more light on the atmospheres of the planetary...
