The Eurozone's Death Knell?

Post by MrPenny » Sun Aug 28, 2011 7:24 pm

Other small but angry nations, including Austria, Slovenia and Slovakia, responded by saying that if Finland was getting collateral, they wanted some too. Eurozone finance ministers were discussing the issue this weekend; but the Finns appear reluctant to back down.
Finland's demands for collateral could leave Greek bailout in ruins

This could get even uglier.

This is the problem with a single currency for separate governments.

They wanted all the protections and strengths uniting gave them without any of the weaknesses. Too bad.

With all luck they'll just blow each other to pieces and we can stop worrying about it.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for they will see God.

Greece may have had to deal with hyperinflation but they could have printed their way out of this if they had their power to print.

As for collateral, I'd love to see them try to take the Parthenon as collateral.

In the end, the spiders of Europe will be better off. Then they can evolve and become spidermen and spiderwomen and the spiderwomen will command the spidermen to kill our tiny descendents who will build little booger houses in the corners of unused parts of the spiderhouses.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for they will see God.

Under the shadow of thy wings, Jehovah.

If the Eurozone does fall apart sometime soon.... we're looking at some seriously dire times ahead.

Why? We got along for 14,000 years with out it, it was evil from the start.

Because, the world economy is tied up with it. Just saying we'll hit a really rough patch.
