580 Million Bucks for a Box of Electrons

Years ago when I was involved with the initial public offering of a gold mine, a stock with no assets (property, buildings etc) had no "book value" and was called "blue sky stock" because it was backed by the blue sky.

Along comes Rupert Murdoch who, for 580 million bucks buys the ultimate blue sky stock, a box of electrons called Myspace.

Where was this schmuck when I was selling mining stock? That box of electrons would be worth more if he dumped out the electrons and filled it with little round turds from my billy goat. Myspace has negative value. The entire internet has no value. Google could die in a month if some pimple faced kid in his mommies basement came up with something better. Even the servers loose value faster than used cars. The kids of today have a saying, "Oh that's so last week."
