Americans STILL do not understand that he got he Peace Prize not because of internal politics and stuff in the US. He got it because he was a president that right from the start showed willingness to communicate across boarders, he promoted openness and tolerance, he showed respect for other cultures and religions. The rest of the world could finally sleep at night, not having to worry constantly about what that war mongerer Bush and his creepy advisors would no next. Shudder.

Obama created a climate where dialog could take place, and dialog is crucial to accomplish and maintain peace. Why can't Americans understand that?

I understand, Pigeon. But what frustrates me is that Americans just do not get what the Peace Prize is about. Americans think it is about the US and what goes on inside the boarders of the US. And that is simply not the case.

Basically, someone freaked out the international community so badly that his successor was entitled to a peace prize because he is who he is and not like his predecessor.
