Who knows? It's an amazingly long winded exploration of bullshit. Very popular with hippies in the 60's.

With hippies? I didn't know that. I knew Elvis liked it. I enjoyed it. Whoever wrote it has a mind but it's bs.

I think the Bible. I've read it front to back about 8 times and also tidbits everyday for the last 20 years. I also read a lot of my Funk & Wagnalls as a kid.

Also very popular with cult leaders. Gabriel of Urantia used the book to sujugate WWOOFers on his communes in Arizona, and I believe he's still doing that and WWOOF still lists his organization(s) in the WWOOFers guide.

I guess organic farming and cult activity go perfectly together.

I'm still working on the Bible. I dunno what it is with me but I can't read anything for very long without falling deeply asleep, almost into an unnaturally heavy sleep.

Check out Thru the Bible with Dr. J. Vernon McGee. Listen to someone else read it to you with their commentary while you follow along.
