History of Ranch Dressing

Post by Royal » Wed Apr 26, 2017 4:23 am

History. In the early 1950s, Steve Henson developed what is now known as ranch dressing while working as a plumbing contractor for three years in the remote Alaskan bush. In 1954, he and his wife Gayle opened Hidden Valley Ranch, a dude ranch near Santa Barbara, California, where they served it to guests.

I figured it was something some dude dreamed up. Didn't realize it was that long ago.

Looks like a nice area. I imagine the place, if still around, is worth much.

Maybe this one predates Joe the Plumber's place.

Dude ranches were a popular place way back when.

Ranch and New York seems in conflict, to me.
