Our leaders are the ones using group think to manipulate people to at least some extent.
From The Perennial Philosophy by Aldous Huxley in the chapter concerning "Mortification, Non-attachment, Right Livelihood"
In actual practice how many great men have ever fulfilled, or are ever likely to fulfill, the conditions which alone render power innocuous to the ruler as well as to the ruled? Obviously, very few. Except by saints, the problem of power if finally insoluble. But since genuine self-government is possible only in very small groups, societies on a national or super-national scale will always be ruled by oligarchical minorities, whose members come to power because they have a list for power. This means that the problem of power will always arise and, since it cannot be solved except by people like Francois de Sales, will always make trouble. And this, in its turn, means that we cannot expect the large-scale societies of the future to be much better than were the societies of the past during the brief periods when they were at their best.
Now this has me thinking. When was the world at its/her best? Any guess?

The population of groups who place high importance on having anything and as much as a person desires seems to be a failure. The larger the group becomes, the more strife it seems.

What were the charges and (maybe) by who?

Lol nothing serious.

I was on top of a mountain (another mountain top story) and there was a very fit woman and a man who liked he was in the military. They had jogged pass me while I was hiking my way up the mountain.

I was sitting down after I doused my head with water. She makes a gesture like she was interested in me and comes over close to me like she wanted to talk.

We greeted each other and started talking about the hike. We started talking about their attempt to do 20 miles each day for a week in Colorado :) .

She says "Men should carry more weight"

And I say "Sure.... hmmm, maybe not. You guys wanted equal rights, you will have equal weight. .. equal rights, equal weight"

She starts to laugh and gets closer.

I then start to say "Woman are strong beings anyway. The word "woman" I believe comes from the "Warrior-man" because it was gender neutral or "strong warrior".

"...and if you ever wanted to infiltrate a place you use a woman. Men usually don't see it coming. They are the most seductive things that are hard to resist."

That's when the military looking dude says "Are you in the CIA?"

I say "no, I think I just knew bad people."

He says "That's what we do" and he they both start to head down the mountain.

Interesting experience.

The only way to not lose the game is to know how to play it.

History shows that war has been used to distract from domestic problems. In this case, corruption.

Whether it is Iran or Israel, religious fanaticism and technology doesn't mix.

If Mecca, the Temple Mount, and the Vatican, as well as other religious places were taken out by asteroids, what would they think of god?

A reformation would take place.

Self-empowerment &

faith |fāθ|
noun
1 complete trust or confidence in someone or something : this restores one's faith in politicians.
2 strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.

They would blame NASA and therefore the US. We should have landed on the rock and destroyed it. Instead we steered it to a sacred place on Earth. I have no doubt on this one.

hahaha yes. The cognitive dissonance may kick in.

"Part of god's plan" they would say. The "The end is near" people coming out of the woodwork again. "allah akbar"... ug...

I doubt in today's world that a meteorite, not a bomb, would be accepted. It would have to be the evil empire doing.

It would still raise lot's of question. Without a place of worship. They may have to find a place buried deep within themselves... and maybe their lights finally click on.

Science and technology is already starting the process.
