Just watch out for those damn stoopid hedges, hahaha.

Your dogs have really cool names, by the way!

You mean an Alsace-Lorrainian doncha, Egg? ;) And yes, he is huge. He stands 2 1/2 inches taller than what is standard for the breed and weighs 110 lb. Being a badly abused 4 month old puppy before I got him, (fractured skull, broken jaw and ribs) Lochie is Daddy's boy and a big wuss. But you do not threaten me or Dasher, even in jest, and you not come on my property after dark.

Gadabout Dashie is the exact opposite. Everyone is his friend. I swear Dash would find some redeeming quality in Jeffrey Dahmer! He is the most affectionate, most lovable dog I've ever met.

I grew up with Shepherd/Collie Crosses and then sadly lost my own dog Bob back in December, he was a lab crossed with a cocker spaniel. He was black with white in his neck and face but the look on Dasher reminds me of my Bobby :(

Sorry to hear that, Pam. I still haven't got over the loss of Sam (dog on my ID) in 2008. Just thinking of him or looking at his photo can reduce me to tears.

They have on their faces one of two looks:

Either the pre-walk look: "come on big guy, let's get going, come one..what are you waiting for"

or

the post walk look: "god, I'm tired, it was good...I'm at peace and I love you soooo much and life is soooo good now let me sleep"

Two beautiful dogs, embodying the best characteristics. Life is damn good when you're out walking with them, hey, Set?

Pam - Heart wrenches when we lose our pals. I understand about Bob. They leave a space inside that nothing else can fill up.
Karma was my pal for eleven years. Laid to rest last year.

You are 100% right, Pan. It was the “Get off that fucking computer and take us up the park, you geriatric old prick!” look. There is a mob of kangaroos that have been grazing up at the park lately, so I usually wait until mid morning (when the 'roos go back into the bush) to walk the boys. Hence the reluctantly resigned look on their Highnesses faces.

Life is good when you walking with the dogs in the country. There is something primal about it that really appeals to this old caveman
