LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A Little Rock television station has replaced a meteorologist who resigned after he was found asleep in an unfilled hot tub next to a dead man.
Former Houston weatherman Keith Monahan will become chief meteorologist at KARK-TV. He replaces Brett Cummins, who resigned Sept. 9.
Authorities say Cummins was found next to the body of 24-year-old Dexter Williams at a home in Maumelle. Williams had what appeared to be a dog collar around his neck.
Cummins has not been charged in the incident, and his attorney says he did nothing wrong.
A spokesman for Maumelle police says authorities are waiting for a toxicology report as part of an ongoing investigation.
