yesterday, on a mountain viewpoint where we can see the fires at a far distance. Many people showed up to view and take picutres.

Some 40yr old guy greeted us and showed us his photos. When discussing the 2003 an 2007 fires, he said that a forestry worker was caught sending matches out the window.

But I think he was bullshitting to impress my girlfiend. I caught him lying about a couple things.

"The last three years have the driest in California's recorded history," Gov. Jerry Brown said, citing climate change as "a factor" in the spate of blazes.\\
On top of the drought, the Santa Ana winds have helped many of these fires race, challenging the hundreds of firefighters on the ground and in the air. These are typical for October and November, but Cal Fire Assistant Region Chief Thom Porter notes, "we've had this kind of wind ... every month this year."
It's true. These winds from the desert occur during fall.

Incredibly weird if we are getting it every month. Then again we would have to talk to "climate experts".

Hopefully climate change doesn't turn into any kind of taxes.

Harness it for wind power. Use the energy to make fire extinguishers.

I'm thinking repeat performances of these wild fires will cause "desertification".
