Thoughts On Osama And The Middle East
Re: Thoughts On Osama And The Middle East
Like it or not the 'Arab Spring' was to a large degree empowered by guys like Binny. The revolutionists have twin enemies: the regimes in control and the masters the tyrants serve... i.e.- Pax Americana.

That's an interesting assessment. However, the beliefs he espouses are in many ways antithetical to those being pushed for now.lkwalker wrote:Like it or not the 'Arab Spring' was to a large degree empowered by guys like Binny. And, he was a creation of the tyrants those regimes serve, himself.

What he espoused was independence from Leviathan and self rule. That's the central message of all revolutions of all times.Egg wrote:That's an interesting assessment. No, they helped fund him and make him the leader he turned into.

As Lenin said- 'Give them the rope and they will hang themselves.' Binny used the time-tested tactic of America's most famous Muslim warrior. Mohammad called it "rope a dope." See?

I think you're giving him too much credit. I think he was flying by the seat of his pants for a long time.

He is owed much credit for a strategy that has proven successful in vanquishing the empire. The guy was a warrior. You want to marginalize him as a coward and a quisling... go for it. But results speak for themselves.Egg wrote:I think you're giving him too much credit. I think he was flying by the seat of his pants for a long time.

I've never called him anything here. I don't know what a "quisling" is.lkwalker wrote:He is owed much credit for a strategy that has proven successful in vanquishing the empire. What he did to the empire since 9/11 was some evil mastermind Dr Evil stuff for sure. I think he had some help, personally.
I do know that without the American Government funding him against the Soviets, he wouldn't have become the leader he became. That's what I'm saying.
