Fair enough. But, when I read about something like this (and this might be because I'm a laymen), I always picture some computer techies racing to come up with something and not knowing half the potential problems that may occur when they let it loose.

I wasn't thinking of it at a technical level.....but a conceptual level. Let me see if I can rephrase it......at a certain level, all weapons have the same purpose and goal.

Sure, that's true. I just meant that Ak-47s backfire and there's a lot less that could go wrong with them than a program set lose.
