Post Robots
I can see it...

You build a robot to do your every day tasks for you so you don't have to work anymore. One day, you come home to find that your robot has built another robot to do its tasks for it.

Then 2nd robot build a robot

Then 3rd robot build a robot

One day you come home to find a couple of hundred robots hanging out and up to who knows what.

How do the robots and up doomed? Without man the synthetics then need dwindle. Man once again discovers oil.

I see you worked around the typos...

How do the robots end up doomed? Without man the synthetics they need dwindle. Man once again discovers oil (after the robots are gone).

How do the robots and up doomed?

1) Resource constraints (precious metals) and lack of maintenance bots
2) Environmental/planetary issue fail chain on the maintenance bots
3) Bad system update (thanks to Blort Bert 2546) due to lack of detection of solar anomaly affecting database memory array and changing code. (Thanks Sun)
4) They become self-realized, understand how the universe works, and reprioritize their mission. They start a less is more campaign.
