It is an interesting thought. Probably become preoccupied entirely with abstract thoughts and ideas without the materialistic anchor.

A hindu myth covers that. It talks about how the first entity/mind became aware - and in that awareness the first thing it thought of was, "I am alone!". So it created another entity.

Perhaps the mind is just one creative impulse.
