Less annoying automated telephone services - HA

Post by Pigeon » Thu Nov 24, 2011 1:45 pm

Does anyone think that talking to a phone that is asking you to press numbers to find a solution will ever be stressful acceptable.

Maybe this is why so many of the people behind those menus are so unhelpful. They want us to want the memu instead of a person.

Automated telephone services may get slightly less annoying thanks to research being carried out at Spain's Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Universidad de Granada. A team of scientists from those institutions has created a computer system that is able to recognize the emotional state of a person speaking to it, so that it can alter its behavior to make things less stressful.

I always say to the robot "what part of fuck robots don't you understand".
Credo quia absurdum.
