GUI - Apple vs Microsoft

Xerox had the GUI.

"Well, Steve, I think there's more than one way of looking at it. I think it's more like we both had this rich neighbor named Xerox and I broke into his house to steal the TV set and found out that you had already stolen it."

There should be a point to share tech to build the US brand.

Kind of like what Japanese cars did in the automotive industry.

It all based on money. Companies want it and don't want to share it. If they agree to a join venture, one or both will try to screw each other.

Open source software is one of the few exceptions.

You do know, in the USA, greed is number 1.

OPen Source software:

Website: Check the hash to make sure the file is good.
Anonymous: Like if someone broke the website an uploaded a different file?
Website: Yeah
Anonymous: What prevents them from changing the displayed hash?
Website: Ummm...
