Radiation covers 8pc of Japan

Post by Egg » Tue Nov 22, 2011 2:21 pm

Japan’s science ministry says 8 per cent of the country’s surface area has been contaminated by radiation from the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant.

It says more than 30,000 square kilometres of the country has been blanketed by radioactive caesium.

The ministry says most of the contamination was caused by four large plumes of radiation spewed out by the Fukushima nuclear plant in the first two weeks after meltdowns.

The government says some of the radioactive material fell with rain and snow, leaving the affected areas with accumulations of more than 10,000 becquerels of caesium per square metre.

Last week tests found unsafe levels of radioactive contamination in recently harvested rice from the Fukushima region.

The levels of radioactive caesium were measured at 630 becquerels per kilogram, above the maximum allowable level of 500 becquerels.

Officials from Fukushima prefecture have now asked all rice farmers in the district to suspend shipments.

I wonder how much of that area affects the over all output of rice production. If it's large enough to affect the price of rice which is a staple in a country that is all ready affected by unemployment.

It's affecting a large part of the country's rice production.

Not good.

I think China should show a good deed and start sending free rice shipments to Japan.

Maybe then they (the chinese) would lay off skinning dogs alive.

HAHAHA!!! Keep dreaming. They're always going to eat dogs and cats that way and they're never going to give anything to the Japanese for free. I'm sure they remember how the Japanese treated them. ;)

Yup, I know.
Korea hates the Japanese too.

Just a note though. The skinning of dogs and cats is for the fur which makes it into North American markets as trim on stupid shit you buy at Walmart. And. they do it while the animals are still alive.

Also. The demand for Chinese folk remedies are now endangering Rhinoceros' in Africa (poaching).

I'd so like to boycott the Chinese.

However isolation might not help. How do you import sensitivity, morals and appreciation for Life?

Fuck that. Let's just get rid of them.

I'm not going to watch that now. I have seen video of people going to a market, picking out a cat, which they club not hard enough to kill, and then they boil it, put it on ice and skin it while it's still alive.

One of the most heinous things I've ever seen.
