I never could stomach the smell of curry. The first time I ALMOST ate Indian was a very drunk night at the age of 16. I ran out of that Indian place faster than the speed of light and let loose with what was inside.
I moved to London for a couple of years in my early 20s and an Indian friend invited for Indian food. I went so as to not be rude.
I've been in love with the stuff ever since.
Imagine the two of us sitting there, me eating with a fork and he with his hands, and him telling me to put my fork down and use my hands.
I did and I looked like a piece of construction equipment shoveling food into my maw.
