Mantras and staring at incense sticks
I like mantras and staring at incense sticks. Why something so tedious sounding should in fact be so interesting is one of the great mysteries of the world.
I guess its to do with the mind switching off and inner power taking over.
Do you believe in psychic attack? I felt that I was under it in Singapore once. I played some mantras and it went.
Sure, it could just be all in my mind, I know. But that's the great fun of 3D existence. None of has a clue what's really going on.

I never got into mantras. But, I agree, shutting off the mind for a little while is bliss.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm,
I never used to like them but they're a quick route to inner silence. The old tried and tested methods can be the best.
So how do you switch off your mind if you don't use mantras, Egg? I know there are many techniques.

You have to warren the equals sign and the related part.

I just meditate by following my breath. Once you turn off the mind a bit - or quiet it - you realize how much it colors your entire life and how it never really shuts the hell up!Cockslap Buddha wrote:Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm,

Yes, it's annoying... Kind of like having SSCC CR RR RR EEAMMMM permenantly wired into your crown chakra.

Jesus! You just saying that made my head hurt. HA! Actually, for some reason, I've barely paid that guy any attention. Probably a very good thing.Cockslap Buddha wrote:Yes, it's annoying... Kind of like having SSCC CR RR RR EEAMMMM permenantly wired into your crown chakra.

Yeh I didn't read him much either.
I think the current solution's good. Two boards... Amkon for the craziness, and log on here when you want a quiet chat. Like a secret room in the back of a pub.
