The clock is ticking to save the euro, says EU Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn. The eurozone has entered a critical ten-day period to complete and conclude the crisis response of the EU, according to Finland's EU Commissioner.
"We are now entering the critical period of 10 days to complete and conclude the crisis response over the European Union. And we have to continue to work especially on two fronts, both in order to ensure that we have a sufficiently credible financial firewall to contain market turbulence. And at the same time, we need to further reinforce our economic governance," said Rehn.
He made the remarks on Wednesday on his way into a meeting of EU finance ministers in Brussels.
The EU's 27 heads of government will meet next week to hammer out solutions to the euro's instability, which threatens to harm the global economy. http://yle.fi/uutiset/news/2011/11/rehn ... 69706.html
