I like This Poem

Post by lkwalker » Sat Aug 06, 2011 7:56 pm

Berkeley, 1971

Ragtag hippy
sagged
by a stopt shot
that lay his head
in meaty pieces
down,
amongst the
jags,
amongst the
shards...
amongst the glitter and the tinks
of the last

trashed

pane.

"If it takes a bloodbath, let's get it over with. No more appeasement."
Ronald Reagan

+ 1 for the poem and for starting this thread.

Tenderness

to prepare
a supper for a child.
there is no reason,
nor to tend a garden
pour les chats,
no reason either.
but these we do-
for no reason
always.
or, at least, we ought
