A person start to be aware of more then his own persuits and also learns that things can have a wide reaching effects.
-The push for global this and that is shrinking the buffer between parts of and actions in the world.
When companies expand out worldwide, events in different parts of the world can have a bigger effect on them, both in profit and cost. There actions also effect those elsewhere, good or bad.
Mid east oil helps with out energy needs, some policies have made those there hate and want to do damage here.
The game board has become the whole world.

How can any action in the world be truly isolated from the rest of the world.

I want to hate Breivik, but find that I cannot. Not without hating myself.

Then you've not performed the Socratic self-examination.

I've performed it and I come up lacking. I've been angry at myself for my own stupidity, too.Cartoonsyndicate wrote:Then you've not performed the Socratic self-examination.

Are you saying there can be no hate, even for those that should be hated then you are not a person of pure love?Cartoonsyndicate wrote:Then you've not performed the Socratic self-examination.
Hate is an emotion that only comes for those deserving of it. If everyone has nothing but love there would be no need for hate. I will never love someone that could do what Breivik has done, nor can I ever forgive.
