This part- "God became man, and was sacrificed to atone all sin for all mankind forever."

Re: Knowledge
Dr. Exile, I believe you have rendered me speechless.
With the comment on the old testament....
You know me, I read less than I should. I'm startled that someone as learned as yourself reflects my own thoughts somewhat... especially on a subject which for the longest time I've avoided knowing too much about.

Credo quia absurdum.
Re: Knowledge
By implication that notion was overturned by John 23rd when he absolved the Jews from deicide- even though he never realized it. Dr Exile will see the irony...Is that the part (saved by grace) you don't agree with BE?
Sacrifice was only allowed to be performed by the progeny of Aaron- the Levites. So if Jesus were sacrificed by the Romans it was a false sacrifice and necessarily rejected by God. See? Either the doctrine is right or the Pope is right. But they cannot both be right because the two ideas are mutually exclusive. I'll go with the Pope because I loved the dude.

Holy SHIT! That's some good stuff, right there. I never thought about that. Yeah, Aaron's brood had the sacrifice trade cornered.lkwalker wrote:By implication that notion was overturned by John 23rd when he absolved the Jews from deicide- even though he never realized it.
