NFL week 4

Post by Pigeon » Sun Sep 29, 2013 5:56 pm

So far the Texans have shown up and are moving well against the number 1 defense of the Seahawks. Texans defense is also playing today.

Texans offense falters in second half, topped by dumb pass by QB for a pick 6.

Texans offense falter continues in overtime.

Game disappears as TV cuts to SD - Dallas game.

Texans lose. Some say the personal foul call on Texans was bogus but we didn't get to see it. If good, par for the course.

Did the game momentarily cut out to do an update, or switched to the San Diego game completely?

Went to the SD-Dallas game completely. (Got a couple of updates off twitter feed).

How 'bout them Cowboys, back to losing. Bolts zap cowboys.

Upset Texans fans burn Matt Schaub jersey

Cut Schaub sign seen on overpass on I-45

Schaub, 3 pick sixes in 4 games. Make him move and he becomes ineffective.

Texans lose despite passing Seahawks for top NFL defense

Perfect set up for a Houston win in San Francisco.

SF may need to save it's strength for the division game against the Cardinals in the following week. Playing hard against a tough non-conference team may not be worth it. And certainly would contain some monetary rewards if a deal is made.

Interesting idea.

Houston, after the last game, will be in a mindset to win. Guess we will see how SF performs. It may be a clue.

Raiders lose to winless redskins. How does this play out with the Chargers this week.

Raider fans introduced me into the gambling conspiracy by the sole observation of their stupidity.

They are the dumbest fucking fans on the face of the Earth, and will bet on their team to win every game. Their fan base is huge and gamble hard. Many stories from family and their friends who are constantly gambling for the raiders to win. There's a huge incentive for them to lose in Las Vegas. Compare this to the Latin American's fervor in boxing when it's a Latin guy vs. Black guy. Black guy wins! Surprise!

But here's an interesting dynamic. Qualcomm Stadium (San Diego) is filled with so many Raider fans during the Charger's home game that it will feel like a Raider home game. Ticket sales will be great but probably wouldn't play out well in the long run to be 2-3 behind 5-0 Denver Broncos, and still competing with Kansas City for a playoff spot.

Do the Chargers feel like they are out of the AFC race? Does Rivers feel like he has a shot at the Super Bowl or is he cashing in on another year? ...A balance has to be made. I believe a huge win against Oakland, and maybe a loss against Indianapolis. But that depends on Indianapolis staying healthy after Seattle and how they want to prepare for Denver.

Seahawks look like the real deal if they can sustain their game.
