Then the cutting edge of science would be, NOT that if it is a simulation, but for what purpose.
For the lulz.
Trying to understand the universe but what can we really know. And is what we think real or just seems to fit.

I like watching the phases of the moon. Key thing to remember is the moon rises later each day.

I went to a Zoo, and saw a monkey examining poop. No idea if it was his or another monkeys poop.
For the entire 20 minutes I was there he could not take his eye's off the poop and examining it with poop hands.
I couldn't help but think that I was the monkey equivalent of the human looking at the internet.
What if individual human beings are doing the same thing with the universe they created.
Eyes/brain as equivalent to mouth/stomach.

Is this just a fun fact or has deeper significance?

Maybe we didn't create our universe.
Remember the Neil d Tyson video. DNA difference. Humans compared to apes. Ets compared to humans.

It helps me remember the phases and when the moon rises and sets. I like it dark, for the star view.

That was the connection I was making.
So what would ET's pay attention to- Tom foolery or brains scans? Beware of aliens that do not laugh.
