Thought on advanced weapons

Saw this in a post on reddit
... one scene in Gestapo Mars: The protagonist retells the story of a space battle where two advanced spaceships battled for six days straight without taking a single hit because of their advanced eletronic systems. Each ship shot down the other's missiles, jammed the other's targeting electronics and absorbed the other's laser blasts.
The captain of the smaller ship has this epiphany about how, as the weapon systems got smarter and smarter, they started to totally negate each other. So he lights up the engine, moves into point blank range and fires a dozen freezers full of frozen turkey at the enemy ship, destroying it.
I firmly believe that we are gonna reach that point someday... maybe without the turkey, but still.
