What's with all these Americans backing Putin. A year ago it was liberals were commies to be killed. Is Putin a special "good" type of communist or is it because he and Trump are buddies.

It appears Putin does not exist in a purely communist system. Some argue that "war communism" has taken over most traditional communist systems. Why? Because communism, the relinquishment of personal freedoms to the state, allow for power hungry monsters to take over easily.Is Putin a special "good" type of communist or is it because he and Trump are buddies.
Communism is a dream. Not a reality.
Current systems in the US, China, and Russia are all hybrid systems of both capitalism and socialism. China and Russia started out as communist countries, and over learning the hard way, opened up markets to join the global eco nomy. The US has many social programs to care for its citizens (unemployment, social security, etc), and is not purely capitalistic.
Every country is at risk for going to war due to the control of information. As President of the World, I would mandate every country host media or news from international neutral sources.

Just because many people want into the US doesn't mean it doesn't have a lot of screwed up stuff or is faltering.
What people think they see or believe and reality do not always align. That should be obvious at this point.

As far as factual, independent news, the internet tries to give us that. It is just that people realized it is easily converted to corruption for personal benefit. Greed is powerful.
