Radar systems to detect and possibly thwart projectiles with advanced notification to the vehicle are necessary. Ability for law enforcement to find source of projectile endangering transportation system are a necessity.

Can use the space above the current highway system to fullfill departure from the current 2-d system with minimal infrstructure adjustments. A netting system can keep ground vehicles and adjacent homes safe. Risk will remain with the flyers.
This will also provide significant jobs across the nation to continue the never ending highway construction projects that we all currently enjoy.

Emergency Vehicles - faster response times for EMT's, Police, and Sherriff's.
Tourism- More accessible locations.
Shipping- faster travelling conditions when not having to wait for snow or ice to clear road
Home to Work - By lease/rent or ownership; strict maintenance deadlines; not used for recreational inner city travel to reduce total flight time; reduction of morning end evening commute times
Inner City Travel - Taxi to destination to street or rooftop without waiting in significant traffic; traffic may build up at drop-off site
