Reno Air Races pilot vows to fly again despite near-death experience
It’s been a year since pilot Thom Richard posted a video of an airplane that slammed into him on the runway just before takeoff at the National Championship Reno Air Races.
In the video, the other aircraft crashes into the rear of Richard’s airplane. The airplane’s wing sliced through the canopy, hitting Richard’s hand and nearly hitting him on the head.
