Southwest Captain brings his Dad (Col. Roy Knight) back home

Last saw his father when 5 years old. Now a pilot flying his father's remains from the Vietnam War home to Dallas.

I really don't understand the whole "remains" thing. Viking traditions burned bodies at sea.

I think it's more about the memory of their spirit than a physical presence. I am connected to my grandma because of her wisdom, not because I visited her grave (which I dont). Maybe this situation is different when last time they saw them was when they are younger.

I say this as comfort to those that never came home.

I think it is about giving them a burial and no longer being a missing person. A closure.
