The fact that Trump has not addressed the American people from the Oval Office and has opted to throw gas on the fire via his twitter account tells you everything you need to know about him.

The Canadian Prime Minister has made a statement about the protests and the fucking president hasn't. That speaks volumes.
The US has had no leadership for almost 4 years, we're just seeing it really exposed now.

I’m beginning to think that electing a reality TV star wasn’t all that sensible.
What would he even say? Can you imagine him giving a speech like this? Even if you gave him the exact same words, he’d mumble his way through them. This is more his speed. The only thing he could possibly do to heal the country at this point is resign, and we all know he won’t do that.

Because Trump will never allow a story to become bigger than himself. The riots and protests are much bigger than him, so he turns off the lights and hides until it blows over. Sort of expected behavior for a draft dodger.

I read somewhere that it was planned but scrapped because they didn't know what to say and he seemed disinterested in delivering a message of unity.

I cannot believe the pettiness of the leader of the most powerful nation on earth...
It does. And it tells you everything you need to know about how handlers feel about him, too.

You mean that he’s a uneducated coward that acts like an elementary school bully.

Tom Joseph has an interesting take. Trump cannot address the nation right now because he is physically and mentally deteriorating. Trump is having issues standing up and those around him fear that he will do a face plant in front of the press.

Trump once called Tiananmen Square an example of strong leadership. I'm hoping he continues to hide instead of attempting to be a "strong" leader.

Don't forget cowering in the basement with the lights turned off...

Really?
I mean, everything else in the last 70 years hasn't told you enough about this guy?
You guys really make the rest of the world go 'wtf?'

The Tulsa race massacre (also called the Tulsa race riot, the Greenwood Massacre, or the Black Wall Street Massacre) of 1921 took place on May 31 and June 1, 1921, when mobs of white residents attacked black residents and businesses of the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
It has been called "the single worst incident of racial violence in American history." The attack, carried out on the ground and from private aircraft, destroyed more than 35 square blocks of the district – at that time the wealthiest black community in the United States, known as "Black Wall Street".

Re: Another riot over police
Probably time for this one again
Re: Another riot over police
Lots of people out there need to hear this - and it is not the protesters.
Re: Another riot over police
Sen. John Cornyn, a member of the GOP leadership team, said the protesters had to be cleared out "for security purposes" since Trump was "walking over to the church" and they were asked to clear "but refused to do so."
"So obviously, it was a necessary security measure," Cornyn told CNN. Cornyn rejected the notion that they were acting peacefully since they can't "ignore what law enforcement officers are telling them to do for the security of the president or anybody else."
Asked if the President should have gone to the church for a photo-op that led to tear gas and other measures to be used on the protesters, Cornyn criticized the media and others who are "never going to find any good or any positive development in anything. So you can characterize it the way you want, but obviously the President is free to go where he wants and to hold up a Bible if he wants," calling it a "civil message."

In our country everyone is allowed their "civil message" and attacking those people so Trump can walk by is wrong.
What does it say when the WH is afraid to allow the president to walk among the citizens.
