President Archie Bunker (but more racist and less likable) heard all our jokes about him hiding as police clashed with protesters Sunday night, so what did he do? He did the only respectable thing that a punk-ass president would do: he had peaceful protesters tear-gassed outside the White House so that he could walk the streets for a photo-op to prove that the Antichrist can hold a Bible in front of a church.

According to the Washington Post, Trump “began mulling a visit to St. John’s Episcopal Church on Monday morning, after spending the night devouring cable news coverage of protests across the country, including in front of the White House.”

It is being reported that Barr ordered to attack on the WH protesters that cleared the way for the Trump church photo op.

Attorney General William Barr is facing demands to step down after the Washington Post reported Tuesday that the nation's top law enforcement official personally ordered police to beat back peaceful protesters gathered near the White House Monday evening to clear the path for President Donald Trump's walk to St. John's Episcopal Church.

"The Attorney General is the top law enforcement officer in the country, the leader of an agency meant to protect Americans' constitutional rights. Barr betrayed that mission by ordering the violent and systematic violation of peaceful protesters' rights. He should resign." -Rep. Don Beyer.

In a statement released just ahead of the Post's report, Barr thanked the police and the National Guard for their "Outstanding work" Monday night but did not mention his role in ordering the assault on demonstrators.

Barr eventually appeared in Lafayette Square shortly before 6 p.m. Monday, about an hour before Trump left the White House. In a scene that was captured on news cameras, Barr stood flanked by a security detail, his chief of staff and the head of the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel. As Barr surveyed the situation around the park, some protesters spotted and recognized him, and shouts went up.

While it was Trump who came up with the idea of the church visit, senior adviser Hope Hicks, chief of staff Mark Meadows, as well as Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and his daughter Ivanka Trump, were involved in the initial planning of the operation, according to two senior White House officials.

Washington Archbishop Wilton Gregory had some harsh words for President Trump and his visit Tuesday to the Saint John Paul II National Shrine: “I find it baffling and reprehensible that any Catholic facility would allow itself to be so egregiously misused and manipulated in a fashion that violates our religious principles, which call us to defend the rights of all people even those with whom we might disagree.”
