I think people don't know what's what - and how could they - I mean the masses. They take on religion and economics to find something to do.

Kierkegaard wasn't wrong.

Scarcity is indeed a con game but I believe the people want to be conned. It gives meaning to the nothingness. Follow?
Nothingness is an illusion of the limitations which have been imposed upon us by somethingness.

There is nothing beyond what we can know, but that doesn't mean it is nothing. It's just that we are limited in every way, no exceptions.

Boredom is waiting. Those who assume there's nothing to wait for are the only ones who become evil in their boredom.

Sometimes, all you can do is wait.

Philosophy will have to wait, as well.

It's like a birthday or Christmas.

You can't open the presents until your Father wakes up.

Trust me. I saw Santa's workshop.

What I'm trying to say is, nobody knows nothin'. Got me? And, because of that, all of these "false idols" are built to give people some sort of solace. Even the worst of them serve someone - and not just those running the scams, those who are taken. Capisce?

I think the big shake-up was the wide distribution of LSD during the 50s and 60s. Society has never really recovered from that. LSD was never meant to be a spiritual or philosophical tool for awakening. It was meant to erase/destroy minds, breed hopelessness, and make people obey authority.

Most people never recover from what is witnessed on LSD.

Little secret: alcoholism, severe physical/mental trauma, and some natural hallucinogens do the same thing.

Salvia Divinorum... whooooo there's a nasty little drug from Hell.

Is being numb to it all, the easy way?
