Covid blame poll
Re: Covid blame poll
A rant submitted to Louis. Sums it up.
Re: Covid blame poll
We tell kids to believe a 500 year old man built a boat the size of a carnival cruise ship and gathered over a billion animals in a week. Are we surprised they then become adults and think drinking urine will cure Covid?

Man and dinosaurs not living together?
Wouldn't a video of the Flintstones be proof they did.

The internet has entered the pandemic, again ...
Re: Covid blame poll
Lots of people concerned about long term effect of the covid vaccine, such as not dying.

I loved the production of "Come From Away" at the Ohio Theater. This is based on the remarkable people in Gander, New Newfoundland, who came to the aid of thousands of air travelers after 9-11.
Afterward, a family discussion started about how ugly Americans have become since 9/11. We recalled the time of unity back then. We concluded that people have just stopped caring.
This was evident with the theater attendees who sat around me. Pretending that their masks were off for their suckers or their wine glasses. Many people had them off for the entire show. Folks played with their phones the entire time. When lights came on, masks were back in place.
We are back to our American ugliness. We only have to follow the rules when everyone is watching? No inner compass of morality or concern for one another?
COVID-19 update: Ohio tops nation in COVID-19 deaths per capita; Cases, hospitalizations on the decline
The show has been cancelled in venues due to omicron. We are still in extremely high incidence of COVID-19. People are still dying. Does anyone care anymore?

Some day, maybe, people will stop talking about valiantly fighting a virus and realize that they can't beat up a virus like they beat up Billy in 2nd grade, and will take extreme measures, like getting vaccinated, to prevent the virus from taking over their body.
Yes, extreme measures also include wearing a paper mask in Home Depot for maybe 20 minutes. Oh the humanity...
These people do not understand that viruses aren't "libs," feminists, SJWs, LGBT people, atheists, immigrants, Muslims, blacks or Jews. They're trying to deal with this threat the same way they're used to dealing with all other threats, and it's not working.
You can't beat up a virus. You can't threaten it, shoot it up with an AR-15, lynch it with a rope from a tree, bomb the shit out of it with warplanes, roll coal on it with your monster truck, make it cry by triggering it through online trolling, or gaslight it by accusing it of opposing FrEE SpEEcH.
Neither getting vaccinated nor wearing a mask are "extreme" measures. both are cheap, fast, easy.
These are not extreme. these are basic decency.

Remember when people used to listen to doctors and other medical experts and follow their advice, until someone thought it would be a great idea to better connect to people like you who barely passed biology to teach us about viruses?
