Teachers told to offer books with 'opposing' Holocaust views

Fri, October 15, 2021

SOUTHLAKE, Texas (AP) — A Texas school district administrator told teachers that if they have books about the Holocaust in their classrooms, they should also have books that offer “opposing” or “other” viewpoints on the subject.

Gina Peddy, the executive director of curriculum and instruction for the Carroll Independent School District in Southlake, which is in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, issued the directive last week during a training session about which books teachers can have in their classroom libraries. A staff member secretly made an audio recording of the training session and shared it with NBC News, which broke the story.

In the recording, Peddy told the teachers to remember a new Texas law that requires teachers to present multiple perspectives when discussing “widely debated and currently controversial” issues. She said: “And make sure that if you have a book on the Holocaust, that you have one that has an opposing, that has other perspectives.”

Having a book with the facts forces the inclusion of lies and propaganda.

A Texas woman has been arrested and charged after she allegedly pointed a loaded gun at a 7 year old on Halloween.

Authorities were called to a Buda, Texas, neighborhood at 7:20 p.m. on Oct. 31 after reports of an aggravated assault, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Deputies say Monica Ann Bradford, 35, yelled at kids while they trick-or-treated outside her home.

She then left her home with a loaded gun, and pointed it at a 7 year old who was walking in front of Bradford’s residence, officers say.

Bradford was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, which is a second-degree felony, the statement said. Her bail bond was set at $10,000.

Buda is located 15 miles southwest of Austin.

"I said one bag of M&M only. One bag only. He took two. I had to stop the 7 YO criminal."

"You mean the kid that was just walking by?"

Today in QAnon

Hundreds of followers of QAnon conspiracy theories gather on Dealey Plaza, in Dallas, in anticipation of an appearance of John F. Kennedy Junior, who died in a 1999 plane crash.

Some Qanon folks believed that JFK Jr. was going to un-die and announce he's running for President with Trump today and that it was going to happen in the same place his Dad was murdered. What's not to love?

Holy shit. IQ has lost the I.

Hundreds of QAnon followers from across the country gathered in Dallas on Tuesday afternoon to witness what they believed would be the reappearance of John F. Kennedy and John F. Kennedy Jr.

The assassinated president and his deceased son never arrived.

Rather than face their disappointment, though, the QAnon faithful quickly pivoted to a new prediction, claiming that the Kennedys and a host of other late celebrities would unveil themselves at a Rolling Stones concert in Dallas later that day.

"Mick, on the way over, did ya see the Kennedys? They're not bringing Oswald are they?

Gov. Greg Abbott told the Texas Education Agency on Wednesday to investigate criminal activity related to “the availability of pornography” in public schools, saying that the agency should refer such instances “for prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.”

Really?
