Purpose crash. Trying to cover not starting a wildfire that would get him jail time.
Jacob Lapoint

I think the fire extinguisher was just to put out any potential fires resulting from the crash. He probably thought that as long as he didn't start a forest fire, and there wasn't any injuries, and he didn't damage anyone's property besides his own there wouldn't be much of an investigation if there was one at all. The fire extinguisher 100% tells us that he planned to crash that plane long before he left the ground, and it was some insurance that he could put out a fire if one were to start. He likely ran the plane out of fuel on purpose to cut down the risk of a deadly wildfire, and therefore wouldn't need to put out a big fire with such a small extinguisher. Thing is if that engine oil caught fire somehow that little extinguisher wouldn't have stood a chance against it. I've tried putting out oil fires before with the huge 50lb extinguishers before and 3 of them didn't even slow it down.

FAA revokes his pilot's license

FAA

“You demonstrated a lack of care, judgment and responsibility by choosing to jump out of an aircraft solely so you could record the footage of the crash,” the agency said. “Your egregious and intentional actions on these dates indicate that you presently lack the degree of care, judgment and responsibility required of a certificate holder.”

YouTuber who crashed plane in California mountains did it for sponsorship deal, authorities say

Jacob pleaded guilty to one count of destruction and concealment with the intent to obstruct a federal investigation, a crime that carries a maximum penalty of 20 years behind bars, the U.S. attorney’s office for Central California said in a news release.

...

According to the agreement, Jacob had intended to use the video for a sponsorship deal with an unnamed company that made wallets.

...

“Defendant intended to make money by promoting the wallet in the video that would depict, among other things, defendant parachuting from the airplane, and the airplane descending and crashing,” the document says.

In an email to an investigator from the Federal Aviation Administration about a month after the crash, Jacob lied about not knowing where the aircraft’s wreckage was, according to the agreement. Weeks before, he’d used a helicopter company based in Paso Robles, roughly 120 miles north of Los Padres, to lift the wreckage from the mountains and put it in a trailer, the agreement says.

Jacob admitted taking the wreckage to the airplane hangar he used in Lompoc, cutting it up and throwing it away, the agreement says.

Jacob also falsely told the agency that he’d experienced a full loss of power 35 minutes after takeoff and that he’d parachuted from the plane because he couldn’t identify a safe landing option, the agreement says.

On May 11, 2023, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California announced that Jacob pleaded guilty to a felony charge of "destruction and concealment with the intent to obstruct a federal investigation." According to prosecutors, Jacob admitted he lied to federal investigators by submitting a false aircraft accident report and by falsely stating to an FAA investigator that he parachuted from his plane because the engine had quit and he could not find a safe place to land. He also admitted that he and an unnamed friend used a helicopter to airlift the wreck to the Rancho Sisquoc area on December 10, 2021, where Jacob later loaded it onto a truck trailer, moved it to a hangar at Lompoc Airport, cut it up, and disposed of the pieces in various locations over several days, all without authorization and while telling investigators he did not know where the wreckage was. Jacob said that the motive for his scheme was to earn commissions from The Ridge, the wallet manufacturer which sponsored his video. The crime is punishable by a maximum of 20 years in federal prison; however, as a consequence of the plea agreement, Jacob will serve no more than 24 months in prison, and may be fined "$250,000 or twice the gross gain or gross loss resulting from the offense, whichever is greatest". When released from prison, Jacob will not be able to apply for a pilot's certificate during his probation or parole.

I remember playing the GTA games and tapping the wrong button that caused my player to walk out from an airplane... oops.

Maybe a god hit the wrong button for this character. Maybe a few wrong buttons during that year.

A joker in the simulation. The same old dumb shit gets old. New wrinkle.

Introducing prison clicks (cliques).
