Oh, and regarding the OP....I can't believe this didn't happen sooner. I have always pictured New York as really liveral, but I forget that the city does not necessarily represent the rednecks in the rest of the state. lol

You're exactly right. The city is liberal and the state is not. It's blue but that's because of the city. There are more liberals in the city and more conservatives in the rest of the state but there are more people in the city soooooo we almost always go blue federally.
