HA!

If that ever happens, I'll be going back to Oregon, and I will be taking all the black people with me. No tunnels necessary since all Georgians are packing heat.

Oh, and thanks for saying I'm nice. I AM NICER PIGEON! :P

Oh, and regarding the OP....I can't believe this didn't happen sooner. I have always pictured New York as really liveral, but I forget that the city does not necessarily represent the rednecks in the rest of the state. lol

You're exactly right. The city is liberal and the state is not. There are just more people in the 5 boroughs than the rest of the state.

It's blue but that's because of the city. There are more liberals in the city and more conservatives in the rest of the state but there are more people in the city soooooo we almost always go blue federally. The state often has a Republican for Governor, though.

Up until mostly recent times, texas had a democrat as governor.

Once Bush got in, it's been all republican. Go figure.

42 Bill Clements January 16, 1979 January 18, 1983 Republican
43 Mark White January 18, 1983 January 20, 1987 Democratic
44 Bill Clements January 20, 1987 January 15, 1991 Republican
45 Ann Richards January 15, 1991 January 17, 1995 Democratic
46 George W. Bush January 17, 1995 December 21, 2000 Republican
47 Rick Perry December 21, 2000 Incumbent Republican

Rick Perry is the scariest Reptilican of them all.
