Last night I dreamed that my mother died and came back as a floppy jowled boxer dog. My mother was once a light opera singer in theater.
The dog sang songs from The Fantasticks and Spoon River Anthology.
Wrof wru Rawaowo ruf row wur werwowo
woof wowf wof rwow ar wwuf arf wowowo
Translated:
Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow.
And:
Woof arf rworwf ect:
Translated:
TOGETHER in this grave lie Benjamin Panitier, attorney at law,
And Nig, his dog, constant companion, solace and friend.
Down the gray road, friends, children, men and women,
Passing one by one out of life, left me till I was alone
With Nig for partner, bed-fellow; comrade in drink.
In the morning of grief I knew aspiration and saw glory,
Then she, who survives me, snared my soul
With a snare which bled me to death,
Till I, once strong of will, lay broken, indifferent,
Living with Nig in a room back of a dingy office.
Under my Jaw-bone is snuggled the bony nose of Nig
Our story is lost in silence. Go by, Mad world!
Does this dream mean anything?

Re: Interpret This
I hope you didn't think your mother sounded like a dog when she sang!
How bizarre, what an odd dream.

Re: Interpret This
It may have something to do with the fact that Ash married one of her patients.
A pearl is the result of victory over irritation.

Re: Interpret This
I may be self-centered, but I can relate to that.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for they will see God.
Under the shadow of thy wings, Jehovah.
