The Cost of Revenge

Post by Dr Exile » Wed Jun 29, 2011 7:40 pm

To avenge the deaths of 2,977 people and the loss 3.2 billion dollars in real estate, we have sacrificed 31,741 people to kill 226,259 ragheads at a cost of 3.7 trillion dollars.

One point two billion dollars per victim, and 86 to one in loss of life.

You liberal pessismist. First off, look at all the jobs we've created by blowing the crap out people who don't deserve it. Secondly, we're spreading democracy, which can only be good for us. Thirdly, USA USA USA.

But, in all seriousness, do you think this is about revenge? I think that's how they got all of the plebs behind them but I don't think that's what any of this is about anymore.

It goes to the Just War Princples of the Church. America should adopt it as law.

I think it illustrates Dr Exile's point very well.

Yes, it does. The doc's right. We suck. We're abusing each other and the government is abusing both them and us and our trust. Ruining the lives of those overseas and those here, too.

The use of arms must not produce evils and disorders graver than the evil to be eliminated.
