No, I have "View your posts" there too. And that button doesn't work from there either. Doesn't work no matter what page I am no. I only get a list of threads.

Use the 'search' link in the menu at the top of the page.
In the 'search for author' box, enter your name.

Quick reply is an option that can be enabled on a forum basis. It doesn't require a page load but doesn't have the select a BB tag feature.
Neither limits the content. They both serve a useful purpose.
