Science is objective
While Truth remains subjective.

Science has brought us tools infinitely better than we could have imagined while walking barefoot across the plains.

Most of them have come at a price. Maybe one day we'll get to the point where we can iron out the bugs. Unfortunately, science is now tied to profit so don't hold your breath.

Science is objective
Science is not objective.

If by some fluke wildlife biologists had neglected to state in peer review that bears shit in the woods, scientists to a man across the globe would deny with their life that bears shit in the woods. Every time some woodsman reported that they do, the scientists would call him an ignorant hick and state flatly with a certain air of smugness that hearsay evidence is not science.

oh to be a hunter/ gatherer again.
If only that mermaid did not eat the apple.
One fateful day, a mermaid ate an apple, and the wrathful gods put an end to the Valhallian Ice Age. Mankind was condemned to abandon his blissful existence as a wandering hunter-gatherer and toil forever more.

I am sure it would never ever occur to any scientist to go into the woods and find out if the reports were true.
